Lenovo ThinkPad T480s — 4G LTE Business Laptop
A 14-inch ThinkPad T480s with built-in 4G LTE mobile broadband, a quad-core Core i5 and Windows 11 Pro. Supplied with a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
Key benefits
- Built-in 4G LTE — a Fibocom CAT9 modem with a SIM slot, so the machine connects without tethering or hunting for Wi-Fi.
- Legendary ThinkPad keyboard — still the benchmark for typing on a laptop, with the TrackPoint retained.
- Quad-core i5-8250U — four cores and eight threads for everyday business multitasking.
- 14-inch Full HD IPS, 250 nits — anti-glare with wide viewing angles.
- Thin and light T-series — the “s” in T480s is for slim; it carries far more easily than a standard T-series.
- Windows 11 Pro — domain join, BitLocker and Group Policy included.
Performance in use
The LTE modem is the reason to choose this machine. For field staff, auditors, sales teams and anyone who works between sites, a laptop that is simply online — without tethering a phone or trusting public Wi-Fi — changes how the day runs. You will need an active data SIM.
The i5-8250U is a quad-core, eight-thread processor that handles Office, email, browser work and video calls comfortably. The 8GB memory configuration suits focused work rather than habitual heavy multitasking.
The T480s remains one of the better-regarded business laptops of its generation, largely for the keyboard and the build. It is a machine for people who type a great deal.
